what is some of the 5 speed trans that you guys have in you trucks thanks

T5. Longhorn, you tell him why it's not the right choice, okay?

T5 can only stand about 300 ft lbs of torque. If you are towing or hauling, it's not a good choice. If it's a cruzer like mine, it's perfect.

scott is right, a T-5 is only acceptable if you drive easy. No hauling or towing on regular basis, and no hot rodding.

at some point in time i would like to get to about 400 at the rear wheel what is the best trans to put in i would like an 4 speed but i have heard that you cant go over 110 and i would like to be able to go about 130 if i had to but i also want a good all aroud shifter o and i like to slam the gears

the NV4500 (5 spd) and NV5600 (6 spd) are both stout trannies that could take the abuse. you could also use an aftermarket Richmond 5 or 6 speed. Or, you could even get an old 5 speed out of a medium duty truck of some sort.
