confused?

just read the tread on the mini spool which brings up a new question to me... should I save money and get a mini spool or go get an Eaton limited slip. I realize that the spool will constantly keep the rear locked, but why does this mater?

Mostly for turning, but I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Save your money for an Eaton or an Auburn posi. A spool can be very harsh on tires because it locks both axles. If your using it primarily for the track, then a spool is the right choice.

i amy be mistaken, but doesnt it also cause premature failure of the axle shafts and axle bearings on a street driven truck? i would think so, since you'd be putting more stress on them when turning.
