HELP - How to install new bumpers

Maybe a dumb, lazy question but I'm having difficulty install my new bumpers and brackets. Truck didn't have bumpers to begin with, so I'm not sure how the brackets work out. I have everything I need, thanks to Ricks Pickup Parts. The front I've got pretty much worked out, L/R etc. (Hopefully I got the right ends facing forward). I'm stuck on how the brackets line up for the rear.

Any pictures/digarams of the front and rear brackets - installed or how to would be appreciated. Thanks

Talking THANKS

Thanks alot, Demi. I would have been messing around for days without that - pulling out what little hair I have left and teaching the neighbor kids some new words.

Now that I see the inner bracket goes on the inside, I have to deal with my Blazer tank I just put in - guess I should have figured that out before.

Thanks again

Tip: Do yourself and your new bumpers a favor and clean/paint the backsides of them before you install.

Lightbulb Installing bumpers

Be careful not to over tighten the bumper bolts, or you may dent the bumper and see the bracket right through the bumper. Especially if your bumpers are repros, because they tend to be lighter than originals.

Thanks for the added advise Bob & Goodpliers. Hadn't even given those things a second thought.

Lovin' the board more and more.

I've got the Blazer style tank (Thanks, WES) and switching to a new chrome bumper with brackets was no problem. You'll see when you get under there and get started. Piece a cake!
