bag mounting on trailing arms
Have any of you guys mounted your bags offset on the trailing arms? I mounted mine haft way on or maybe a little less and made brackets but they twist a little bit. I plan on boxing them before I drive it. Has anyone else done this? Any help!

The ideal positioning of a bag on the link bar is to center it. If I were wanting to use a 2 link I'd center the bag, cove the frame for the upper mount and run a wishbone instead of a panhard bar.

Mine are centered. The arms aren't boxed & I've had no issues in over 3 yrs.

What was the reason for offsetting the bags?

I offset them because I moved the bag postion up towards the front of the truck. I did a HUGE Notch to lay out on 295-40-20!

fully boxing the trailing arm is a bad idea, they are designed to twist going over off camber driveways etc.
maybe this pic will help. I run a 305-50-20 its a 32" tire. |

I am going to palte the sides but not the whole length. It twists where the bag mount is. If it doesnt work right I will mount them somewhere else.

Wouldn't moving the bags further up on the trailing arms give you more lift as well?
