Hey Michelle,
I don't know that I can help you much, but I have see websites that do it on mini trucks and other vehicles. I would imagine its somewhat the same process. I don't frequent any of those sites because its not my thing, but you should be able to come up with something on a search for mini trucks.

suicide hinges
A friend of mine in Tennessee use Rocky Hinge Co. hinges on all the suicide door projects they do. He has good luck with their products.

bagged91,
No, it is Eric Arrington and Matt Long of Kustomwerks in Union City, TN. The mot recesnt major show vehicle they finished is the GMC Envoy that they built an entire chassis that lays rockers with a stock floor with 20's and 22's for SEMA show 2002. Jeff

That's a sweet ride...
Yeah, Josh did a guy Manuel Ramos' Nissan Frontier Ext Cab from my club. I believe it's featured in this months MiniTruckin'. He also built the crewcab frontier for Kevin(i believe he is in ES). Both are stockfloored... Hopefully I will have paint & rims on my 91' by the spring Back to the topic: Chev72, have you considered using the hinges from the drivers door? I personally haven't checked it out yet to see if it will work on our subs or not bu I know some guy's have luck doing it that way on other vehicles... It's a BIG project but will be sweet if you can get it done.

I have had some quotes to do this exact thing, and they have been quite expensive, especially if you go to someone that is know for suicides. We are talking like $3-5K bam there goes paint!

hey
if you want to make suicide doors you have to remove the hinges to start. then it gets difficult. you have to cut the door latch and surrounding metal out of your door give it a half twist and and reinstall it on the front of the door. you have to be careful you weld it back in straight and level or your door will bind. then you can put the hinges on the back and re-do the connections inside the door.(door handle locks ect) and thats the basics of it.
