Just bought a '88 K-2500(6 lug) Truck is pretty beat up and has been worked hard. The drivers side rear spring pack has two broken springs, just after the axle. I'm going trough the truck, and thought as long as I have it apart, I'd like to beef up the suspension a bit for our camper. Will 1 ton springs from this style truck fit. A local scrap yard has a complete set from a '89 K-3500 for $150, is this a good price? They dont have shackles. Any other reccomendations?
Thanks for any info. P.S. What is a good shock for stabling out heavy loads, towing. Friend of mine says Bilstien?

They should work, however remember that your placing them on a light duty 3/4 ton(6 lug pattern) weight issue for hauling. Other than that the actual amount of springs in the pack may affect height(raise over current height). But other than that shouldn't have any problems so go for it.
Oh ya shackles should be the same so don't worry there. $150.00 isn't really to bad for price try to get for $125.00 if possible ------------------ If patience is truely a virtue, Then I am so screwed 1970 Chevy SWB 331 sbc and all the goodies.
