More pictures of Shane's Parts. 68 50th Ann.
This is a 68 custom he recently aquired. There was some previous discussion about this truck on the parts board.

That seat looks like it might be a stock 50th custom seat to me.
How bad is that rust? It looks to be pretty solid. How many miles are indicated on the ODO? It looks like it might be pretty low mileage. BTW it sure looks like a factory Custom and not a CST to me due to to lack of carpeting and chrome trim on the pedals. When you come right down to it there is not really much difference between a 68 Custom and a 68 CST.

I was wondering how much he paid and if it being what it is, is it worth more or just a status thing. There is one here in the same shape and I was thinking about purchasing it.

Nice truck. I would put that one back to stock, stock, stock! It is the only distinct paint scheme of '68...even if they were not that rare. There is one close to me but the guy will not sell it. He replaced the 327 with a 350. He has had it since new. He said he would only trade since he still needs a truck.

Thanks to toms68CST for posting the pics for me.. Yeah, This is a true 68 Custom. Factory 327, Turbo 400, with 116,000 original miles on it. The old truck is one of the best I've seen aroud here where I live at. The rusty spots are still pretty solid, floorboard is perfectly solid, only one floor support is starting to rust. I've only found 3 dents on the whole truck. 2 on the hood being very, very minimal, and the other inside the bed on the inner bed side. Long bed floor is as solid as it was new, with absolutely no dents or rust. All in all a very good truck for this area.. Think it is already sold to redneck( who said he would do nothing but keep it original). Thanks to everyone for their input, Shane
