Need the Steering Arm and the Drag Link shown in the photo (thanks to 1969GMC). I am converting from manual to power steering. Donor truck should be a 4x4 68-69 1/2, 3/4 or Blazer. The Steering Arm is attached with 4 bolts and is about 6 inches from center to center. The 70-72 attaches with 3 bolts and will not work.

Erl, I was thinking that 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton were different, but not for sure. I have some rears for parts that may still have that on it. I will try to check for you tomorrow and let you know if I come up with anything.

My GMC parts book shows the Std 69 front axle (FH033, FH035) to use the same Steering Arm and Drag Link for 1/2 and 3/4. The Heavy Duty axle (FHD035) is 3/4 only and shows a different arm. So, it depends on Std or Heavy Duty. Let me know what you find.

Just a thought >cut your drag link&have it threaded so you can use an adjusting sleeve&late model drag link end on the pitman arm?might be pricey though.Also parts stores might have tierod ends for med.trucks with your taper.Hope you can find something!

I have already done what you descrided. I used one tie rod end from a 70- 72 4x4 for the pitman arm conection and the 70-72 drag link coupler. I then used a 85 trail blazer tie rod end that fit perfectly into the coupler and original manual steering arm (same 1 1/2 inch/ft taper). These parts were purchased at NAPA for under $80. Looks great and works great , except. The original manual steering arm that I am using is about 8 inches long and does not allow the full turning radius. That is why I am still looking for the P/S steering arm, it is 6 inches long and will allow a full turning radius.

I'll keep my eyes open for it.I'm not sure I've ever seen a 67-69 with PS. A buddy of mine had some 68 3/4 axles a while back I'll see how long his arm is if he still has them.
