new engine

The last week I have really been considering buying a gm crate engine. i live in the city and have to pass the smog test. I was looking at the $1200 260hp 350tq engine and have a few questions. Will stock 305 smog legal exhaust manifolds mount up? Also, what intake manifold do you recommend running with a q-jet?
Thanks for your help, ken

Yes on the exhaust manifolds. I would go with a Edelbrock Performer 3701. This is the EGR manifold, what I have on my GM Goodwrench 350.

It's good deal. Not a top notch drag race engine with best parts money can buy, but it will last a long time if taken care of. I drive the crap out of mine and it's still working great. Of course it don't look or sound much like it did when I first bought it.

Heads, cam, rocker arms, headers, etc. changed that.

I say go for it.

Beer so frosty, smooth, and cold it's paradise pure liquid gold.
