lowered- front tire clearance issue
I have a 75 C-10 thats been lowered with drop spindles, unsure of the drop.
I just realized how little room I have from the top of the tire to the inner wheel well. Theres only about 1.75"-2.0" of clearance. It does rub occasionaly, like if I make a turn on a bit of a hill for example. My concern is at speed, if I where to hit enough of a dip or bump in the road & it rubs, how disasteress could this be ? Anyone else have a simialer situation ? is it a concern ? John

didja get new springs? If so , get progressive, and thatr that way you can maintina your height without too much trouble. Otherwise with your c10, you cna put in 1 ton springs.

My 74 rubs ('buzzes' the tires) on most big dips going down the highway. It actually rubs the top of the wheelwell (not the fenderlip). It hasn't caused any problems & has been driven since July 03 .

Will it rub because of the spring rate?
What if I had 2.5 spindles with 1.5 springs (Western Chassis) with 225/75-15s (28.29 overall diameter). Will I rub?

Bumpstops
Well, on mine, if the bumpstop were taller than stock, it would contact the bottom of the c-member all the time.
The ones I currently use are trimmed down stockers (about 3/4 to 1" trimmed off). I'm going to replace them w/stock height bumpstops & that will cut down the rubbing considerably (I use a similar set-up on my 68 & it hardly ever buzzes).
