Made it back to VA from Dean's!

Drove up Saturday morning, 3 hours later we were on the road. After 14.5 hours pulled in front of my house this morning at 4:40 am! Here we are ready to leave Dean's house:

It was great meeting Dean. He has a great shop with about everything you'd need. Got to see his trucks up close, the pictures don't do them justice, they are awesome. The trip wasn't with out it's events, had a tire on the dolly blow out prior to reaching west VA, luckily Sam's had one and after about 45 minutes we were on the road with a new spare. I will say though it'll be awhile before I do a road trip like that again. 25 hours of driving in 28 hours!

Now that's just wrong!! a ford pulling a Chevy

Meeting board members is awesome since you talk to somebody who understands and lives these ol' trucks, unlike our wives

Drove 25 hrs? that ain't nothing compared to what I drove last year going from PA to KS.

I tried to rent a GM to tow with but nobody had one. i rented that f150 from Triangle Car and Truck rentals. They actually rent them for towing had everything needed. It actually pulled rather well along I64 through West VA and VA.

That last pic you posted is way better, (was just pulling your leg on my first post).

Sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

Glad to hear you made it back home safe. How does the neighborhood like the new addition? Sounds like you guys should own that dolly now that you have done so much work on it...ha ha

Dean, Thanks for posting more pics. I'm going to take my tire off of the dolly.
All the neighbors that looked at like it. Got a couple yet to see, but I'm sure they will be constructive! LOL!

Thats a good looking Truck. How did the new F150 pull up Afton Mountain? But I hate to see a Ford ever assisting a Chevrolet.

Just curious you wouldn't happen to know of any old Chevrolet Trucks for sale in our area at a reasonable price?

I'll be up your way tomorrow morning at the weapons station. As far as trucks if I see any I'll let you know, anything particular you looking for?
Welcome to the board!
The ford actually pulled very well, never slowed down, shifted into 2nd a couple times. It had the 5.4liter and towing package w/ lower gearing. We never went over 60 mph on the way back.
