What did you get done this weekend? Second edition...
I actually had a productive truck weekend along with everything else. As always I played sports Dad for my Daughter. Friday night was volleyball practice and Saturday she had a basketball team party. We played Lazer tag and had a ball. I had the high score on both our games.
I went to Dallas to see my buddy Keith (n2billet) it was his birthday, so I went there to wish him happy birthday. He and his wife had a party out at her Moms place in the country. This is their garage/party room. The front looks like an old country store and has an office inside. Then there is a two car stall then a 50's diner style party room in the corner complete with booths a jukebox and a mirror ball on the ceiling. Next to that is another two car stall, then yet another two car stall. Almost every inch of the walls are covered with vintage signs. This place was awesome...

Ok, now to the truck stuff. I to my 77 to Stoked Out Specialties to drop it off. They are going to install power windows and door locks. There are a few issues with my paint that they are going to fix, and re-dye some interior parts. Basically get it tuned up for the Summer show season.
Stoked out got a new sign up on their shop- |

Izzy, you should see this place. The inside is done with cedar siding just like the store front. The ceilings are done in old tin, and the walls are totally covered in old signs. He has some really cool cars too. You can see a couple of them in the pics...

I'm working on our game room now. So far we've got a 35 year old coin op foosball table and a nice digital dart board. Next comes tine signs, big TV and some neon. When I was little the neighbor behind us had a car similiar to the one in those pics, had the hand crank horn. |

Guys, that place was the coolest. A little bit out in the boonies.... but way cool.
Ken, Cheryl was giving me grief on the way home.... I told her I could live in that ..... no house needed. Of course for some reason, the house is a bit more important to her . BTW, I sent her a copy of the pic (of the guests of honor) & told her to look around @ some of the people standing close by..... apparently you were able to get her in the pic (she normally sprints away from anyone holding a camera).
