Smile 1972 Cheyenne Pickup - Mild Custom

Hi
This is my first post here, and I hope I put it in the right place. I was refered here by a fellow Buick club member.

A coworker of mine asked me to put his show truck on eBay for him. I'll hopefully get the listing typed up in the next couple days, but in the meantime thought I'd post an ad here.

It's a 72 Chevy Cheyenne 2WD ("mild custom" as he calls it)
It was fully restored in 2002 "frame off"
It's been driven approx 1000 miles since the restoration
350 Chevy engine, bored 30 over
TH 350 trans, w/ shift kit and B&M shifter
New fenders, cowl hood, radiator, tailgate, rockers, cab corners, and cab supports.
650 Carter competition series carb
Custom grille, Custom cab brake light
American Racing aluminum wheels with new BF Goodrich tires
All new brake components and SS lines
New wheel bearings and axle seals
12 bolt open rear with 3.36 gears
All new red Cheyenne interior
New headliner with built in speakers
AM/FM/Cass stereo
Custom dash, tach and guages
Tilt column with custom wheel
New tonneau cover with carpeted bed
Base/clear PPG paint with mild airbrushed hood stripes
All new tinted glass
Red neon underlighting right/left/front/rear
Over $20,000 invested

He's asked me to set the reserve at $14,000
So for all intents and purposes, the firm asking price for this ad is $14,000

I have a ton of pictures (42 of them) that I took for him with my digital camera that I can email you if you send me a PM with your email address.
I can send them in low resolution like I'll post here (1MB total) or high resolution (14MB total). Please specify which ones you want. I'd hate to send you a 14MB file if you'reon dial up.

But other than picture requests, please contact the owner directly, as I only know what he's written down (which is what I've typed here)
The owner (Bob) can be reached at 419-447-3247 or email him at Janetb@friendlynet.com
He's in Tiffin Ohio 44883, and has asked not to be called after about 8:30 or so at night

Thanks
Rick

Thumbs up

Yes, it is a sweet truck. And it sounds awesome too. Doesn't sound like it has much of a cam in it, but it has GREAT exhaust tone. I wish I had the space (and cash) for it!
I'll post a couple more pictures of the interior tonight when I get home. I don't have them in this computer.

It is a very nice truck. It looks great, it sounds awesome, and I can't believe he's even selling it. If I didn't have too many vehicles already I'd buy it in a heartbeat. (Oh yeah.. having an extra $14K laying around would be helpful too) :p

He also has a "50-something" (55?) Chevy show car that is beautiful. He has his eyes on another 50-something car that he wants to buy and fix up. I guess thats why he's selling this truck.... to make room for the new project.

Anyways, I just about have the ebay ad ready to submit, and will probably be submitting it tonight.
If this thread should be moved or deleted or edited in any way once the truck is on ebay, please let me know and I'll take care of it. I know some boards like you to place ads for eBay auctions in a different place, and I don't want to break any rules here.
Thanks
Rick

EDIT... I got her on eBay tonight. Here's the listing

Hi Scott
Yup, this is a nice board. Thanks for refering it to me.

I wonder if anyone here would have any interest in my 600-700 HP BBC? Any drag trucks here?

It didn't sell on eBay. But a guy that saw it on eBay came to look at it the following week.... and bought it on the spot.
He sold it for MORE than he was asking for it here.

Sorry Steven, can't help you there.
His email address and phone number are up in the original ad though. You could give him a shout and he'd probably let you know.
