Oil on Spark Plug
lil bit of oil on the plug on #7 Not soaked , not wet just a little bit on there and some does seep from the plug hole from time to time. Anything bad...what is causing this..has done it from day one on the new crate motor.
My plugs were so damn nasty fouled its horrible. Pitch black from the jacked up carb. Got the carb rebuilt, timing it tonight, new plugs ...well all but one that I need a special wrench for and its off to the tranny shop next week to see if its my tranny or Convertor that took a SHat. Im gettin excited about it again...summer fever is comin lol

if it weren't a new crate motor, i'd say it is a leaky valve guide.

just because its a new crate motor doesnt mean its going to be 100% perfect. i wouldn't hesitate to look into the valve guide, do a compression test, and a leakdown test first.

I had a crate motor that the rings wouldn't seat in. It started out fouling the plugs after about 1000 mile. Within 3 weeks, it was a half a quart low. After that I started checking it weekly. The next week on the way to work I checked it and it was 1.5 quarts low!!! It eventually got so bad ( I took it in for warranty and they just reinstalled new plugs) that it was eating 2 quarts getting home (22 miles). The replaced the whole thing under warranty.
