rubber/poly/polygraphite???
I'm getting ready to replace my control arm, sway bar, and leaf spring bushings on my '89 suburban 1/2ton 2wd. I'm also putting in a 3" lift and 32x11.5x15 tires/rims.
What are the tradeoffs with rubber/poly/polygraphite bushings for those? |

poly has a tendancy to squeak, but it should hold up better than rubber.

I've read a lot tonight about poly putting more stress on other things and really saying they're bad all around. Is there truth to that??

Rubber is fine, poly is better because its stiffer, more responsive and will definalye out last the rubber bushings. Finally, the polygraphite wont sqeak like the plain poly bushings will.

I have a www.P-S-T.com kit (polygraphite) and love it. These bushings (Polyurethane too) have less deflection, especially under hard driving conditions. The front-end will feel "tight" and solid.
About what you've read. That's BS.....
