I would probably attend if we could get a few people together. I think the truck would make it.

Dallas or Houston??? Either way it's a 12 hour trip for me... Why not more central like Menphis TN? They have a nice 1/4 mile track!

Texas is kind of south for our northern members.

What about meeting at Super Chevy in Ennis? If you want to show or race you have it all there along with a swap meet. I plan to piick up my 77 that weekend and make the Dust Off show on Saturday, and Super Chevy on Sunday...

Guys it's going to be impossible to get a central location that "everyone" will like. I suggest you guys in the midwest and great white north set plans for a GTG as well...

I like Austin. Heart of Texas. Temple Academy Raceway would be a nice place to shoot it out. Easy pass on safty stuff and 1/8 and 1/4 mile passes.
Plus: Rental of the track is now available for individuals or clubs For more information contact Linda Tomastik at 254-982-4512 or email promoter@templeacademy.com Schedule http://www.templeacademy.com/schedule.html I'm heading out this month or next!! |

You see the problem is, Texas is so damned big it's like a whole nother planet. Then we have so many dudes on here from that planet, it's real easy for them to have a meet by themselves. The rest of us jerks are not included in their fun. They don't want us to invade their territory. Probably afraid we would add some class to it or something. :p

Ennis would be good, i have been to Texas Motorplex before... back then it was pretty much in the middle of nowhere. the people that lived across the street rented thier land for parked and camping. I would certainly try to make it...................just over 4hrs drive for me, wife and daughter would love it..

I would love to join a meeting but it's just a bit to far for me. About a 10 hours flight for me and a boattrip of two weeks for my truck. So I think I'll skip this one, sorry guys.
