Neck Size ?

I am in the process of ordering a BECOOL radiator kit, etc. and here is my problem / question;

The BECOOL necks are 1 3/8 on top and 1 5/8 on the bottom, and this is the outside diameter, and as far as I know standard should be 1 1/2 and 1 3/4. Now, I have ordered a Stewart water pump which has a standard 1 3/4 end and I assume my ZZ430 crate engine has a 1 1/2 water neck, so.....

Does this all sound correct, does anyone have a BECOOL with no problem, do I need a sleeve for the radiator & so on. I have not measured yet, but would my stock 86 truck with A/C radiator really measure 1 3/8 and 1/5/8 from the factory, making BECOOL's setup correct. The one I am ordering is for 73-87 pickups.

Maybe not a big problem, just odd to me.

Doug

Hey dcraner I'm sorry to hijack you here but I was hoping maybe you guys could answer two questions at once. Does this one on ebay look like the right radiator? The last one went for about $115, seems like a good price

be cool

Well, that is the correct part # and that new is about $575 at Summit / Jegs. That is not the polished version which would be more. I have not ordered mine yet so I am going by the pic like you, but it looks correct and again is the correct part #.

That e-bay price range is a great deal I would think if it is not damaged.
