serial numbers
is there serial numbers on 350 chevy dh heads that i can write down i'm having a set of double hump heads rebuilt and i just want to be for sure i get my heads back because i was talking to someone at work that told me he got cheated out of his dh heads because when he left them at the shop they were fine just needed vavle seats they called him 3 days later and told him his heads were cracked and he said he got to thinking that could not be true because they were no signs of head cracking when he had the engine in his camaro he wrecked so he claims the guy at the shop ripped him off so i want to be for sure i can identify them before i drop them off,

the serial number is stamped inside the valve cover. The date of manufacture is is all found there.I would verify those stamping on turning over to the machine shop. Then verify on recieving.
