can u use a low hump cab as a 4x4?

I am rebuilding a 69 swb 4x4. The cab i have was an old 2x4 type with the low hump. Can i use this as it sits (knowing i have cut a hole for the tx case shifter) or do i have to cut out the entire hump and use a 4x4 high hump in it's place?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

not sure on a 69

but on a 73-87 you can put in a body lift to solve the problem

Ya, a body lift would solve it or you could just cut out the low hump and bolt in the 4x4 cover. I've seen several for sale on the 67-72 parts board

I have a 72 4x4 with a low hump cab. It works fine, but a new hole had to be cut for the shifter.

you can use the low hump as long as you don`t have a top loader 4-speed.......
