these were in the boxes but left in the bed of a truck I have, can these be cleaned, dipped or whatever to be as good as new. Also here's the # on the cam, N E body tell me what it's suppse to be for?

try soaking the valve springs in diesel that might help. As for the cam polish it with some crocus cloth

I've heard that camshafts and crankshafts will bend if layed flat like that for long. They should be stood on end. Any truth to this???

sweet 72: you might be right but if you ever go into a speed shop they have them laying down. i think just like heads if it lays on a cold surface then you should stand them up.

Any idea on what the cam and springs would be for? I went to Cranes site and couldn't find anything to match the #'s on the boxes or the grind # of the cam. Maybe I missed something on their site.
