Steering Box?
OK I've rebuilt the front axle, new bearings, seals, axles, and balljoints, Replaced the tierod ends and now have worked my way to the slop in box. Too much to adjust out. WHo makes a p/s box new or rebuilt and can I get one with variable ratio steering. Thanks, moodyholler

I'm pretty sure I've seen 'em in LMC's catalog. Pricey too if I remember correctly

I did everything you did as well and still had slop. I bought a rebuilt steering box from LMC, along with a rebuilt pump and new hoses. Figured that I might as well use all rebuilt items. Turns out that my return hose had just about worn through where it rubbed on the frame! Good thing I replaced it. I also replaced my rag joint with a new one.
My steering isn't perfect yet. My rear axles have slop between the c clips and the pinion shaft. That is steering the rear of the truck a bit. I replaced the axles with new ones (the old ones floated more than 1/8th of and inch!), but the rest of the diff is worn, so I still have way over the recommended amount of end float. Plus my springs and shocks are saggy. Sigh... still a lot more work to do.

you can buy new ones at autozone and places but they are kinda pricey. might check into rebuilding it as well.
