TH350-C tcc question?
whats up? i have a 1986 chevrolet c-10 1/2 ton truck and have a question regarding the vacuum source for the th350-c tcc vacuum switch by the brake booster. does the vacuum supposed to be manifold or ported and also its going through a thermal vacuum switch, should this only open when the temp is warm? right now it lets vacuum through when cold and shuts it off when hot. i have disconnected my egr bleed solenoid so i dont know if this is affecting it any. i have replaced the esc distributor with a old style vaccum advance and installed a edelbrock performer 600 carburetor.

I don't know how it is supposed to be routed, but I have the vacuum diagram saved as a GIF at home. I can post it if you think it would help.

mine has a 4.3 v6 ( also a half ton 86) and the vacuum for the trans is on the manifold

Are you talking about the vacuum source for the modulator or the one for the switch that controls the torque convertor lockup? I think that is what he is asking about. Slonaker |

im talking about the switch that controls the lock up converter. its bolted on the firewall near the brake booster.
