454 Manifolds VS Headers
My 88 3/4 burb has the cracked exhaust manifold problem. I am looking to fix it the most cost effective (cheep) way, and wonder if I should replace the stock manifolds or I was looking at the flowtech headers. I do have to take this burb thru emissions so I need the a.i.r. pipes.
Any opinions on these low priced headers? Thanks, Al

Al, I assume this Burb is a daily driver, in wich case, Id only have headers if they were ceramic coated. are the ones your looking at full length or shortys ?
They might help your MPG a little, if there full lengthe youll gain a little low speed torque

Wow you have to smog you 88? In GA since it has a 8600lb GVWR mine is exempt.
I have a set of GM stainless headers on the way. They are off a Motor home and the Air pipes are rusted into them. Going ot drill and tap them out.

We get the bad air from Chicago/Gary and have to pass the smog test until the vehicle is 20 years old and then you have to register as a hobyist or collector and not drive in the month of January.
