Question on step side beds - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can anyone tell me what year beds would work on a 56 Chevy? Considering buying a nice original truck however somewhere along the line it was made into a dump bed. The cover over the cylinder is still welded to the front bed panel and I would like to eliminate it and would just replace the front bed panel.

Any info is appreciated.
