Brake shoe Question

I'm trying to do a brake job on a 75 3/4 ton 4X4. I have the 13" 14 bolt full floating axle in rear. One of the new brake shoes for each side is thicker. Does the brake shoe with the thicker abestos material go in the front or rear? I know some shoes are longer on one side, but these are a little thicker on one of them. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

It this because the rear shoes tend to wear out quicker?
