oil on top of manifold?????
i have an edelbrock carb and intake.the other day i noticed right below the carb i have pools of oil on the intake.any ideas why and how its there

Could it be oil seeping up the intake bolts?

i was going to say the same thing. Try tightening up the intake bolts a bit, but not too much depending on if you have aluminum or iron. Had the same thing with mine.

Check your PCV valve it might be stuck open and pulling oil from the valve cover.

pull the bolts out and coat them with gasket sealer and reinstall

I'm with shadetree on this one. Had the same problem till I pulled the bolts, put some sealer on the threds and reinstalled them--Fixed!
