WTB: 350 shortblock.....

Just purchase a '70 GMC pickup, however the previous owner is keeping the motor. Need to find myself a 350 shortblock. I only need from the intake to the oilpan. I DO NOT need accessories, manifolds or anything on the OUTSIDE of the motor, just the block/heads/intake/rotating assembly/oilpan.

Looking to spend $350 or so. Motor doesn't ahve to be anythign special, just needs to work . I would prefer to stay withing a few hours driving of Louisville KY, however if the deal is right I'll drive a little further

TIA

Mike D

My buddy might have just what you are looking for. I'll check with him. Probably be alot cheaper than that also.

Mike,
My buddy wants $100 for everything but it needs to be assembled. It's in pieces right now.

70c10:
$100 for everything....dood that rocks....however I have ZERO experience putting a motor togethor (pulled several and replaced them but never opened them up). I am thinking I would like to find one that is already togethor, however if I can't find one in the near future I'll let you know.

67ChevyC10Stepside:
I am guessing you have some heads and crap for it as well?!?! Like I said I am needing everything from the carb down (manifold/heads/block/rotating assy/oilpan).....I think I could get it running and shiot on my own (assuming everything is there), however if you are willing to get it running for a small fee that might be the way to go.....Not sure at this point. It's worth $400 to me to have a running longblock to install. Let me know what you think.

2kwik4u, I don't blame you for wanting a running motor. I thought you wanted to do it yourself or have a machine shop assemble for you to your specs. Good luck with the truck.

hmm...you said short block...a short block is block with the rotating assembly in there. i stole the heads off it but i have the intake. i would have to find some heads to put on it. what you need is a long block. long block is from intake to pan. but i'll see what i can do.
