Just a snapshot and caption, but nonetheless, one of ours. Oregon truck at the salt flats, think it is page 59, December issue, John Force's STANG on the cover... FYI!

Caption partially reads, "The Rogue Runner team from the Oregon town of the same name had a great showing... taking a '72 a Chevy longbed and adding a 13.501, Dart-headed 350. They held the C (306-372ci) Production Pickup record momentarily until it was killed by Al Sanderson with a 176.408."

I know some racers run drums because you can loosen the adjustment and have zero rolling resistance unlike discs. But, how do you know this truck has 4 wheel drums?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

i just saw the two small resivors ont the master cylinder and assumed, with the disc drum the front is normaly larger. never seen a 4 wheel disk master before. i could be wrong. but you know what happens when you assume

Judging by the overall trickness of the whole truck, my money is on that being a 4 wheel disc setup with an adjustable prop valve somewhere underneath.

4 wheel disc master cylinders usually have equal sized reservoirs too.

Can you imagine trying to stop that thing with drums up front?

YIKES!!! I can see the wiggle and flip now, worthy of a CHiPs episode!

It's Bonneville, no real reason to get in a hurry when stopping.
