Hauling a car from Ky to SC
Wasn't there somebody on the board who would haul cars for people? My brother bought a AMX(I know I thought the same thing) from my cousin in Murray,KY and needs it hauled to SC. Any help would be great.
David

My cousin has had it in a barn for about 10-15 years. It is a pretty complete car but just hasn't been run in a long time. Just by chance and this is way off topic does anybody know where a amx hood is located? That has to be the hardest thing to find. we go to about 15 shows a year and we have only found one and it was worse than my brothers.
Thanks, David

Kingparts,
here is the name & # of someone that hauls cars. He may be too high on price I don't know. I havn't used him for hauling, just see his truck and hauler (1 ton Dodge w/ 2 or 3 car hauling trailer) on my way home. I have spoke with him but never priced having a car moved......so don't take this as an endorsement. Ivy Automart & Transport Hugh Ivy 502-863-9428 (h) 859-619-9595 (cell) |

What year AMX? They used about 4 different hoods between 68 and 74. The 68/69 shared the same hood. The 70 was by itself and the 71-73 could have a cowl induction hood or a non-cowl induction hood (74 had this hood only). My son played t-ball last fall with a girl whose father had 3 AMX's. Fall ball will start late next month so I hope to see him again and I will ask if he knows of any good hoods around.

I think it is a 1969. Ron will be getting up soon getting ready to go to work so I am sure he will post the information on the hood.
Thanks, David

Boy this is way off topic. The car is a 69 AMX original 390 4 speed car. David may feel there is no hurry, but I'm ready to get it home. I'll check into hualing it home. Thanks for the leads.
BTW I'm up now and ready for 12 hours of nice quiet night shift.

Car Hauling
What about putting in on a UHaul trailer and tow it home yourself? Fun weekend trip.
