Question wood in the back

hey i got a 69 1/2 ton stepside and i wanna know if the wood in the back was stained any color when it was stock or was it just varnished???

It was painted the same color as the truck. On top and under the bed.

the ones i have seen were painted. this is what mine looks like it had a camper in it all its life.

Some one on here said the 67 and early 68's were painted black in the bed, then went to body color sometime later.

Except my 69 is painted black from the factory???

My longhorn had one in for most of it's life, but you don't wanna see the bed...you'll cry.

My 67 is all original. The truck is light blue, and the bed is black.
