Temp Gauge help
Just got some new stock gauges, and I hooked it all up.
When I started the truck the temp gauge wet all the way to the right and wont come back down. I know the other parts are right because this was the only gauge that worked on the old cluster. Is there a possibility that the large electrical connector can go in upside down? any thoughts?

Trace the green wire that is on the dvr side head. It is probably grounded out somewhere.

You can pull the instrument panel plug and the temp sender connector and ohm to ground to verify this. If you still have the original wire they are generally very brittle at the temp sender side from all the heat. Either tape it up or put on a long piece of heatshrink. I have some heat resistant sleeves on mine now.
