newest chassis?

i have a question what is the newest year chassis has someone put under a 63 to 66 and what did they have to do?

Uhm... no idea what they had to do - but I've seen several for sale that were on the mid 70's chevy truck frames.

Are you wanting to swap yer frame? Just curious as to why? Is yours rotten? Jest curious.

Up to 72 should be a fairly easy swap, after that the frames changed significantly. 73 and up have been done but involves quite a bit more work.

I've never done the swap but have been considering the same thing with a 67-72 4x4 frame under a 60-66. If you have a long box the wheelbase is the same as 67-72. I don't know if any of the body mounts need to be moved. 60-66 4x4s have a "divorced" transfer case but with a 67-72 frame you could use the "married" style. I'd also use the newer front axle with disk brakes.
