Cutting truck doors into Blazer doors help !
Thanks to racer94, I have a set of 72 doors on the way !! I have been told there are some type of factory specs in the manual on how and where to cut them down. Any help would be great since it took a while to find exactly what I needed and I don`t want to mess them up.
Thanks, Bret

If you have a blazer door now, just cut exactly where the factory did. SawSa probably will work best. I will be doing this soon also.

When I went to cut mine down I had a copy of the page from the assembly manual right there beside me. I didn't use it much, I just copied the measurements off of my old door, much easier. Start by laying out some masking tape where you need to cut, start with some rough cuts just to get the majority of the door frame out of the way then work it down with a cut off wheel and/or hand files. Because of the weird angles and shape of the door it is easier to eye it using the old door as reference, a little flat ruler and an angle finder are also helpful. I would use a hand hack saw or a cutting wheel to do any of the cutting, I find sawzalls too violent for that type of stuff.

Door Cutting
Before you cut the door make sure you accurately measure the angle of the door at the vent window. Once the door is cut it generally springs out of alignment and you'll have to knock it back to the correct position or your door will never align and seal to the cab.

FYI... You can buy new Blazer doors from LMC Truck for $299.95/ plus shipping. I am not sure of the quality.
