ignition
Thanks 68 step side.....with your info I got the ignition switch right out !!! Now heres another question. If the key does all of its functions,except turn off the engine, do I need to replace just the switch or both the switch and the tumbler...Thanks again to 68 step side

Hey, no problem.
Are you positive the switch is bad? What type of ignition is on the truck? Points or HEI? I wouldn't go buy a new switch until I was 100% positive it was the switch causing the problem, and not the coil wire either A. Touching a 12 volt source, or B. Hooked up to a 12 volt unswitched source by accident. TJ

The bad news is I had to order a new switch.should be here by wed. or thur.. The good news is I got to order a couple of other things I've been wanting.
