wiper delay switch

there is one on e-bay right now foe 73 to 83 chevy truck I cant figure out how to send the link here for you all to see it but, will this work on trucks with a little wire harness modification for wiper delay here is the e-bay item numberItem number: 7943075482

modify the wire harness

would it be possible to cut the switch offthat is on it now and interface it to a factory 67-72 switch?????????????

It takes a lot of work but you can make the switch look stock. First you'll need to take apart the delay box and look at the switch. Usually it's a variable resistor with a switch as one assembly. When I did mine I had to go to an electronics shop to get a replacement variable resistor. Still had to modify the switch. Drilled and cut a bolt to fit over the shank to enlarge it to the proper size. Wired the switch in and tucked the box behind the dash. No detail pics but here's one of the finished product. The wiper delay switch is on the right. Switch on the left is for the fog lights (need them here in Oregon). LEDs in the vacuum pod let me know I have the fog lights or wiper delay on.

Mr402,That is way impressive.I`d like to get more detail on that.A worthy upgrade on these trucks.I had an aftermarket,under-dash delay wired into a truck one time.Don`t see them around,now that intermitent wipes are common-place in most vehicles
