Wiper problems

Hi. My wipers just started acting up today. They turn on but then "freeze" halfway through the cycle and will not move again unless I get out and force them down. Is the wiper motor shot? Do they get weak over time? Thanks.

I would check the switch, making sure that it is grounded well. If the switch is good, then I would suspect the wiper motor.

Since the switch actually "grounds" the wiper motor, you can take a jumper wire and ground one of the terminals on the wiper motor to check it out.
