Steering stabilizer To make or to Buy?

Ok, from the feedback of my previous message. Think I am going to start with trying the steering stabilizer to solve my problem.

First I must check to make sure the steering box was mounted on the truck correctly. It is a 67 C10, I hear that the frame on this year was not made ofr power steering boxes. Looks like they burnt two holes in the inner fender well with a torch to get the lines to the steering box, doesn't give me a very good feeling of how the box is mounted.

Anyway, after I check if I can infact attach a steering stabilizer, does anyone know if I can purchase the hardware and the shock at a local auto parts store, or would I be best off to buy mail order from LMC, Chevy Duty, MotherTruckers etc....
I see adds locally for a single for a 4 wheel drive, not sure if this would work?

Thanks for all the help!!

Get the kit, it comes with some beefy brackets that would be real hard to make. Mine was $45 from Classic Industies, works great.

Rancho probably makes them. I would bet theirs would be better built and have a better valved shock for the job.
