In Cab - Gas tank sending unit
My new gas tank sending unit is coming tommorow. Before I start to remove the old sending unit and put the new one in, I thought I would ask the experts if there is anything tricky I should know.
I assume that you unhook the wire, tap on the locking ring to the left, unhook the fuel line, and pull it out. Am I missing anything???

Yeah...no smoking.
Make sue you are under 3/4 tank of fuel, and do this in the driveway...not the garage. The fumes will kick your @ss. Try to get you hands on a brass drift, or an alluminum bar to beat teh ring off with. Less chance of sparks. |

Disconnect the negative Batt terminal first, too.

That part was implied....only cuz i forgot it.
Actually, that really isn't needed. The brown wire is a negitave, and runs off of reduced voltage too. |
