That ECE one looks way better than the Grant one with the deep dish. More durable looking too without the foam. If you guys find a place with a really good price on something like that post it up. Early Classics seems like a decent one, and the price isn't that bad, but it's also 25% of the total value of my truck, haha.

For a new one that price is as good as I have seen. I understand it is alot to spend on a steering wheel. I am going to grab one though, I really like the look! Maybe a grant or LeCarra wheel might work in your budget? Or how about a mid 70's camaro 4 spoke wheel?

ECE is the best price you've seen at 200 and some US? I guess that does include everything such as wheel, hub, horn button, install kit etc. Correct? I'll likely end up ordering one in the end. After all, you can't put a price on happiness right?

Ya, ECE said (quote): "Yes, that is the same wheel that we used in the 72. It comes with everything you need to bolt right up for $225.00."
Keep in mind that this setup will include a hub that works but is a bit bigger than the steering column shaft diameter. If you want the same size, buy the wheel, horn connector stuff, and horn cap from ECE or somewhere else, and buy a hub for a 67-68 camaro. I wondered about the high price, but then if you think about it you use the steering wheel every time you drive the truck...to me that is a good investment.

That Camaro wheel doesn't look too bad at all. It would work that's for sure. I'll have to think about that one. Thanks for the help!

Complete w/camaro hub, horn contact, bowtie cap, black, $150+shipping, and thanks for posting, as requested
Posting lets me know your serious. (This doesn't apply to you HeavyD) I get pm's all the time w/multiple questions from the same person, over a weeks time, its all bull sh++, they dont have cash, or they can get it cheaper.......whatever, what a waste of time Pm's are good for personel info, shipping address's etc. (IMO) Anyway, Im not trying to be harsh, I just dont have time for talkers/dreamers, I make like $20 on these You want a wheel as described, post it Thanks for understanding The Camaro 4-spokes are $40+shipping and look just like the picture above. The Camaro wheels are the most comfortable, but the 3-spokes look best, you make the call....... Last edited by 72dually; 01-19-2005 at 01:13 AM. |

I'm guilty of PM contact. I prefer email over both. Emailed pics can be much better and easier in my opinion. Not trying to be harsh either but I reread all your posts and did not see your request to post interest vs PM's. I also have not seen pictures of the wheels you are selling. As many know on this board I do buy my fair share (or more) off of the boards but not usually sight unseen and usually not without 20 questions.
I have recently started selling a little more myself and am seeing it from sellers side now and I still choose emails, They are much easier to keep track of while I can't sit on boards all day. With a couple of pics I may be interested in 2 wheels as mentioned in PM's.

Thats an interesting combination, olds starfire 4-spoke with buick cap, and yes the bowtie centercap wheel fits just fine, you can buy one for around $30 from most muscle venders
cheyenne......this isnt up for debate |

I am not asking for debate. I am trying to follow the board rules as I'm sure you are. Rules talk about asking for pictures to make sure buyer and seller are on the same page as well as any other questions needing answered. I haven't seen anyone think that was a bad idea. It also asks that we comply with the method of choice for communication by the selller. I am now posting my questions as you have asked. I am still very interested in these steering wheels but will not buy them without pictures of actually steering wheels and accessories that are for sale.
Without all my quesitons answered and good pictures I feel I would be setting myself up for possible dissapointment and hard feelings. In 5 year on this board, only a couple deals that went sideways for me. Hope I haven't ruffled any feathers, I appologise if I have. I have always strived to work with everyone to mutual agreements. Thanks for your patience.

In addition, Im so swamped with work right now, that I dont want to commit to any more shipping than these wheels, my ebay stuff, and a few big block items to board members Ive been holding, oh and the 2 truck tilts I got yesterday after work, $175ea Last edited by 72dually; 01-20-2005 at 06:01 PM. |
