Steering Wheel I.D.?
When i bought my truck from my autoshop teacher in H.S. 4 years ago he told me that the steering wheel was out of a Corvette...i doubt it since my buddy owns a 3rd gen camaro and it looks almost exactly the same, the middle button says Berlinetta, was there a Berlinetta Camaro ever made?
THIS is a REAL Corvette steering wheel, my dad has had it for about 30 years or so. |

You're right. Berlinetta was a Camaro.

Berlinetta was a 3rd gen camaro I believe. A guy in town had one once with a 6 cylinder in it. I think they were a basic model. Wheel looks nice though.

I know they were second gen...don't recall a 3rd gen berlinetta. That wheel is defenatly a 2nd gen wheel. While not really being a basic model, it was a non-performance package.

The cap is Berlinetta only but that style wheel was used in more than just Camaro. It was the optional sport wheel for 1971+ Chevelles. Some of those had a bowtie emblem and there was also an "SS" cap. This wheel was also used on 1971-81 Camaro, some Chevettes and early Cavalier. I have about 4 of these (3 black, 1 very dark gray) taking up space that will be going on ebay at some point.

Also used on the Vega GT & was the optional "sport steering wheel" on my '72 Nova, just with different horn buttons.

A buddy of mine has one of those in a 80 chevy monza. Not sure but I think it was stock. Have you seen the amount of money those vette wheels are bringing on ebay.
