engine needed! (northern California)
I started a machinest class and need a engine to perform the work on. Pretty much any engine will work. I don't have much money so before hitting up the junk yards I wanted to see if anyone had a old junk one lying around that was getting in the way For now I don't even need a whole block, just a complete set of heads will work. This might be a long shot but if anyone has one let me know.

Jeremy, I had (have) a set of Big Block heads that I would've sent with you when you were here if I would've known. If you make another road trip let me know. I'll drag them out for you.

I have a 350, it has one head on it. I will let it go for 50.00. I believe it is a standard bore. The block number is 3970010. I am also looking for an aluminum intake manifold.

I have a SB 350 (I believe) complete and assembled you can have for free. You must also take a set of Small Block 400 heads. The 350 ran when I drove it home and pulled it out. That was 5 years ago. Been stored in a garage since that time. If you feel like giving me something for it go ahead, but I don't really care. Just trying to help someone else out with something I don't need. And if you're really looking for stuff to do I have a TH400 2wd tranny and an SM465 2wd tranny. Both worked when removed. Interested in a 350 short block that got water down a hole? It's a machinist's dream...

First off I want to thank everyone for the responses, I really appreciate you guys trying to help me out.
Brit: I wish I would have known when I came down to Texas too, but we weren't suppose to need an engine for this class, they were suposse to be supplied, but I guess the plans changed bigjimzlll: I would love that little 283, I wish you weren't so far away. I would come and get it but I need the engine by this week. scootergmc: I am sending you a pm about the engine. Thanks to everyone for the offers!!!
