Adj. Panhard Bar

I am pretty sure that I am going to try to get a 3.08 rearend (thanks for the help in deciding on that). If I lower the rear 6", will I need to use the adj. Panhard bar that ECE sells. I am thinking that if I have to use it, then I can get a rear from a 73-87 p/u and maybe get a 3.42 rear. I would rather keep it simple and just use a stock rear for the 67-72 trucks. If I don't, how offset to the driver side will the rear be? Also, will a C-Notch be necessary? This will be on a "69 Burb, I have 5 kids and a dog, so it will almost always have weight in it.

Yes, you need to use an adjustable panhard. Since it's a coil spring rear, you will be modifying mounts since a 73-87 rear is leafs. Stick with the original rear.

I have an Eaton rear right now. I was going to put in a 3.08 rear, but if I am going to have to change rearends, is it better to go with a 3.42 from 73-87 or stay with a 3.08?? The ECE Panhard just bolts up, doesn't it?? Nevermind...Thanks for your input
