Wheel Base measurement

Hello all, great site first post!!!

I'm lining up going to pick up a Chevy 71 C20 4x4. I need to know wheel base measurements to find a suitable trailer. Does anyone have a link or address for the factory specs. The current owner has bigger tires on the front and says it is 86 inches. Sounds pretty wide.

Thanks!!!

I don't think that he is that far off. The 1/2 ton rear end outside to outside of the tires is approximatel 76" and I believe the front axle is wider. If I had a K-20 I would get you a measurement but I don't have one.

My trailer is 84" wide on the deck. I hauled a K20 Suburban frame on it that just barely fit, there wasn't more than an inch extra between both sides. It had 33X12.50s on it, not sure what the offset was. Be sure you bring enough trailer, they're wide!

I had a heck of a time getting my 71 on a dolly, even with narrow tires. 86 does not sound unreasonable.

Thanks guys.

I'm thinking I may have to back it on the trailer to get it past the wheel wells. Buddy says he's pretty sure it's 82 between the wells. Going to pick up the trailer in the morning and see what the actual is.

I hauled a 71gmc 3/4 with 33-12.5x16.5 tires on my 7'x16' big tex trailers. I had about 1 inch space between the fenders.
