carb return spring w/700r4

In the final stages of install of my 700r4, any sugestions on carb return springs. The TV cable is on the bottom of the throttle linkage were the throttle return spring would normally go on the Edelbrock carb I am using. Pictures would be nice. The throttle return on my 88 is built into the TBI on the pass side.
Thanks

i ran my spring from the engine lift hook in front of the carb to a top hole in the linkage so it pulls it forward.

You can go to Azone, PepBoys, etc and buy a $2 chrome throttle return spring bracket...just remove an intake bolt to the front of the carb, install bracket, and hook up spring...just like the engine lift bracket idea above, except a little flashier if you like.

Check these two links out:

I had to go through this when I swapped out my old 2bbl carb to my new 4bbl setup. I had no kickdown before for my TH400, so I basically had to do a whole new setup. I'm not saying this is the best solution, but I can save people time who are thinking along these lines...

You can get the throttle linkage separate from the Lokar kickdown. you don't have to commit to the kickdown switch to get the bracket. I believe it comes with springs, but you can get the springs separate if you want too.
