Help Please !!
My wife bought a new scanner and I'm tring to post some pics but I'm not sure how to get the right file extenions (jpg,png,zip) Please help if you can before I smash this DAMN thing !!

the scanned pics should have a .jpg extension.... then you can post using "attach file".....

Save the file,then open it again,then hit "save as" ,youll two bars at the bottom of this window,the bottom bar is a dropdown bar,click this then select "Jpeg"

Not sure about your scanner software, but most of the time you have to select a file name and file format (extension) after you scan. Normally, you should select JPEG (.jpg extension). This is a compressed file that makes a lot smaller file than an uncompressed (or raw) image like a TIFF file. For the purpose of e-mail or posting on a website, a JPEG file works just fine. Only need something with more resolution if you are printing enlargments of the image.

Jpeg also takes up alot less space then the others,hope my cheap-o diagram helps you
