will '73-'87 454 brackets/pulleys work on a 67-72 big block truck?
Wondering if the '73-'87 454 long waterpump pulleys and brackets will work on a 67-72 truck if you put on a long w-pump instead of the stock short pump?
Will the powersteering pump/bracket clear the frame rail? Would you run into a problem with the fan too close to radiator? Anybody done this? SC

Answers to your questions.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Sincerely yours, Bob I used a LWP set-up in my 67. Didn't know about the SWP when I did it in 1993. Power steering clears no problem. I don't recall if I used 68-72 pressure hose or 73. Either may work but I would try the 73. I used a fan clutch and the fan is VERY close to the radiator and is WELL inside the shroud but has not overheated in 12 years. I have had this truck on the road for 12 years since March 93 without trouble (50,000 miles). My next project is a 67 2wd 502/4L80E and will have AC so I am going SWP on it. Hope this helps - Bob
