Time Out to Say Thanks...
I just wanted to take the time to say Thank You. There are a lot of really good people on this Bulletin Board Network, and I have benefited greatly from their knowledge, expertise, enthusiasm and friendship. Its not so common anymore in our society that people 'reach out' as they once did, to do a favor or lend a hand to their fellow man. But here on this Board, members do it every day. We have a really good thing going here and I am darn glad, and feel lucky, to be a part of it.
I had been looking for certain parts for my K20 project for about 3 weeks now. Recently a few members found that they had some of these items and offered to sell them at very reasonable prices. But one member, GM72K10 , really blew me away today when he said, "Phil I've got a few sets of those, come on over and I'll GIVE you what you need, no charge." So I drove over to Gerry's house this afternoon and not only did he give me the parts for the front AND rear, but he gave me the BEST ones that he had out of the whole lot!! He didn't have to do that, but it's an example of what I'm talking about here, he was happy to help another enthusiast, and he was excited about doing it!! Thank you Gerry, you know that if there is ever anything that you need, help with moving something, hauling something, tearing something apart, building something, or just talking about doing it, I'm there to help you! You're a good man. We have a good thing going here, lets keep it going as long as possible. A sincere Thank You to all the members that have helped me over the last four years on this Board to be able to enjoy my hobby and passion, 67-72 Chevy Trucks!! 72longbed |

That's why I spend so much time on here! I have had a seat and an engine donated to my cause, and if it turns out I don't need the engine, I am gonna make sure a board member gets it.

yes gentleman this is a great group we have here.
I am so very proud of the kind gestures I constantly read about on this board. Hopefully some day I will be in a position that I can pass along this good will.

I'll chime in with my 2 cents worth too. 68C15 has been extremely helpful to me in figuring out my seats. I try to pass on a pic or two ot look up some piece of knowledge but so far I've recevied much more than given. I know at some point I'll be able to help someone as much as I have been helped. What goes around comes around!

I'm still amazed that everyone here is so quick to chime in with their 2¢ and really tell you what they think. What blows me away even more is how nice everyone is to the new guys (like me) and helpful, helpful, helpful. I haven't seen a single negative post yet. Really defines you guys and gals as a class bunch.

I seem to have something in my eye....can someone pass me a tissue.....
I totally agree 110%. I have only met about a dozen members in person, but I would not hesitate to offer them a bed to sleep in and a hot meal when they pass through town. And I am sure that if a family member was stranded somewhere, I could call the closest board member and know that everything would be handled. Tnanks everybody....you're first class folks.

I agree. For years, I have been a "member" of several other message boards relating to other areas of interest (fishing, kayaking, etc.), but this is the only one that I have sent in a little money to keep up and running. Since I have little to no experience turning a wrench, you guys are all I have. Thanks a bunch.

yeah , I appreciate your help and advice especially for those of us just embarking on the journey with our trucks... it sure is a lot easier to post a question on here like I did on headers than deal with a phone monkey with a book that says something will fit... I just ordered them thanks fellas.. Good People on here and well you know what I mean...

Agreed. I'm glad to be a part of this group. I have learned so very much in the short time I've been hanging around. Many thanks to all who have guided me! I just hope I can help others in return someday

Support the board............. I look at the members online right now. Over 140 and only 5 have the name in bold. You come here every day? $25 bucks a year? Thats how much per day? I'm sure this costs Josh well over a $1000 a year to keep going. Think about it.!!!!!!!!!!
