Heater cable question

Hi, I know this is a simple question but it's driving me crazy. I replaced the heater control unit (non-ac) but when I tried to run the center heater cable from the control unit it wouldn't clear the heater blower hose next to the heater control unit. I just need to know how it's run so I can hook it up. I didn't want to kink the cable trying to force it passed the hose. Thanks

The one on my truck goes around the hose on the side farthest from the engine, while the other two go around the side closest to the engine. It's pretty snug, but it's even worse if you try to go the other way.
