Details, Details! What booster did you use? Did you use the same master cylinder? Do you still have drum brakes? Were you able to use the original brake lines from the master cylinder to the frame or did you bend new ones? Sorry for all the questions but I am getting ready to convert to power brakes on my 70 C10. My master cylinder needs to be replaced and you can get the booster/master cylinder for just a little more than the booster by itself.

here are the details: i just used the booster from a 68-70, used my original master cylinder, brake lines etc. all i did was unbolt the original master cylinder from the fire wall and install the booster. i got the check valve at pep boys, created the vacuum from the vacuum port on the back of the carb (edelbrock 1406), adjusted the brake light switch. anything else?

Is there a different rod used when you are using the booster?

new or different rod? no in my case, i just used the rod connected to the booster unit when i got it (rod from booster to brake pedal) used the rod which can with the booster which goes into the master cylinder. it went together fairly easily. just had to adjust the brake light switch.
