Stepside Light Bracket Measurements

I just finished putting together a complete reproduction stepside bed. Unfortunately, the new bedsides do not have the holes for the tail lamp bracket or the backup light bracket. Can someone tell me the measurement from the bottom of the stake paocket to the bottom edge of each bracket? Also are the brackets flush up against the bedside or is there a gap?

The brackets are installed on the post as follows: backup light bracket lower edge is 2 1/2" from the bottom of the post, the tail light bracket lower edge is 9 1/4" from the bottom of the post.

Both brackets are approximately 1/8" from the bedside so they do not touch it.

Thanks Jim. Are those just regular body bolts holding the brackets on? Are there just holes or is there some sort of fasteners inside the stake pockets? I was wondering if I could just drill holes and use some sort of self-tapping hardware. If not, I may have to get them spot welded. Everything else on the bed went together great.

Yes u can use the body bolts make sure they r gounded or your lights wont work.There is a nut welded inside for the bolt and I don't see why u couldn't use a self tapping bolt .

If the post is made out of heavy sheet metal, large sheet metal screws should work ok. My preference would be to have the weld nuts but that may pretty tough to do.
